This microcredential is designed to introduce learners to various agency-specific documents commonly used in child and youth community-based care. Learners will develop skills to determine what information is significant to document when observing and assessing children and youth and compose accurate, professional, and concise documents. A focus will be placed on writing in a strength-based and socially inclusive manner.
Upon successful completion of the course Child & Youth Community-Based Care: Documentation & Assessment, the learner will earn a microcredential. A visual representation of the microcredential is issued to the learner as a digital badge. The learner can share the digital badge on a resume, LinkedIn profile, e-portfolio, or other digital network allowing employers to see what the learner can do as it shows evidence of the assessed competencies.
Note: If the learner has prior knowledge that is equivalent to some or all the competencies for this microcredential, they may be a good candidate for Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR). See details on the program page.
