The Province of New Brunswick, ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ and ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ Student Union (ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½SU) have worked to provide students of the College a comprehensive approach to Health and Dental insurance.
ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½SU founded their Supplemental Health & Dental Insurance through a student referendum. It is a plan established by students for students.
All international students are required to have valid international medical insurance while they are studying with ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ and will be automatically enrolled in the Guard.me during the first academic term of study each year. Charges for this plan are $600 per calendar year.
Students in their first term of study of their academic year, can request an opt out from the if they can answer YES to one of the following questions.
If your New Brunswick Medicare coverage expires before the last day of study for your current academic year, an opt out is NOT available, and it is your responsibility to ensure you reapply for New Brunswick Medicare in advance of its expiry.
Students who have successfully opted out of the Guard.me medical insurance plan will be automatically enrolled in the Guard.me Excursion Plan. The cost of the Guard.me Excursion Plan will be $64.50 for the calendar year. This plan is mandatory regardless of other insurance coverage.
Adjustments to the student account will be made within 10 to 15 business days of the opt out request being approved in accordance with the Academic Calendar.

Dependent coverage is only available once your Guard.Me student policy is issued. Policies will be issued on the third-Monday of the intake after the in-class deadline and after the withdrawal deadline per the Academic Calendar.
New Brunswick Medicare is available to full-time international students who are studying at New Brunswick post-secondary institutions. Domestic students are already enrolled in the program and need take no further action.
