Graybar Canada’s $75,000 donation to ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½’s Going Beyond campaign will aid the College in creating spaces for learners to connect, study, and work collaboratively—just as they will in the workplace.

The gift will support important upgrades to facilities at the college, establishing vibrant, connected, adaptive learning spaces that meet the needs of students today and into the future

“Where students learn and connect plays an important part in their post-secondary experience; it’s where memories and breakthroughs are made, and life lessons are learned,” said Mary Butler, President and CEO of ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½. “Graybar Canada’s investment will allow us to create the kind of spaces that inspire pride, confidence, and collaboration.”

In recognition of the donation, ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ is naming two spaces—the Graybar Canada Trades Education Centre Commons at Saint John Campus and the Graybar Canada Electrical Shop at Moncton Campus.

“Investing in our trades programs ensures the future of our industry lies in capable hands,” said Cory Morris, Graybar Canada’s Vice-President, Atlantic Region. “So when Graybar Canada was given the opportunity to support ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½’s Going Beyond Campaign, we were thrilled to offer our resources to the project.”

Graybar Canada is the latest industry partner to throw its support behind ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½’s Going Beyond campaign. The $16-million campaign charts a course for ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ to:

  • accelerate skills development by creating fast, flexible training opportunities that meet the needs of learners and employers;
  • innovate educational delivery through the use of new tools, technology, spaces, and partnerships; and
  • reach unprecedented numbers of New Brunswickers by reducing the barriers that prevent people from seeking training.

To date, industry partners and stakeholders like Graybar Canada have contributed $12.9 million to the Going Beyond campaign.
