ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ signs pathway agreements with Limerick Institute of Technology

New Brunswick Community College (ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½) has today signed articulation agreements that provide an academic pathway for eligible graduates of several programs to continue their studies in degree programs at Limerick Institute of Technology (LIT) in Limerick, Ireland with the potential to continue on to complete their Masters.

Under these agreements, eligible graduates of some ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ programs can transfer their credits to enter the third year of degree programs at LIT, including:

  • Graduates of Civil Engineering Technology at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ may enter Year 3 of the Civil Engineering Management degree, or BSc in Construction Management at LIT;
  • Graduates of Building Engineering Technology: Construction Management at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ may enter Year 3 of BSc in Construction Management at LIT;
  • Graduates of Culinary Arts Management at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ may enter Year 3 of the BA in Culinary Arts degree at LIT;
  • Graduates of Hotel and Restaurant Management at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ may enter Year 3 of the BA in Hospitality Supervision degree at LIT;
  • Graduates of Business Administration: Accounting  at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ may enter Year 3 of the BBs of Accounting & Finance or Year 3 of BBs of Business at LIT;
  • Graduates of Business Administration: Financial Management, and Business Administration: Insurance and Risk Management at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ may enter Year 3 of BBs of Business at LIT; and
  • Graduates of Business Administration: Management and Business Administration: Marketing at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ may enter Year 3 of the BBs Marketing and Management degree at LIT.

 “We recognize that, in times of economic uncertainty, decisions about post-secondary education take on special significance,” said Ann Drennan, Vice-President Academic and Research at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½. “Prospective students want to ensure they make the right decision between college and university. Because of pathway agreements like these, ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ students don’t have to choose; they can have both.”

LIT has already provided professional development support to ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ staff, the institute’s president Prof. Vincent Cunnane stated.

“I am delighted to be expanding on our pathway to degree completion offerings, into the areas of Engineering and Business and Humanities, with our valued partners in ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½,” said Prof. Cunnane. “We were delighted to have had ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ staff participate in our annual Professional Development in LIT this year. We look forward to growing our partnership with ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½, albeit in a virtual space for the time being!”
