On an October afternoon in 2014, thousands of ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ students and staff fanned out across the province to support community projects. It was the launch of the Robertson Institute for Community Leadership and the beginning of an ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ tradition that has resulted in members of the ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ family contributing 50,000 volunteer hours to more than 900 community projects through nine service days.
On Wednesday, October 9, the students and staff at New Brunswick Community College (ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½) will celebrate five years of giving back to their communities on the first of two designated Service Days planned for this academic year, and the tenth Service Day in ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½’s history.
Service Day brings together ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ students, employees, Board members and alumni to participate in service learning and volunteering to help community organizations across New Brunswick.
Service Day has become one of the foremost annual events for , an essential aspect of the ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ Advantage, creating a culture of community leadership and service at the College.
