ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ announces international partnership with Dublin-based Institute of Technology Tallaght

FREDERICTON – New Brunswick Community College (ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Institute of Technology Tallaght, based in Dublin, Ireland (ITT Dublin). The signing came during a visit to ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½’s Fredericton Campus by Thomas Stone, President of the Institute of Technology Tallaght.

This new agreement will open pathways for credit transfers, research collaborations, and student and faculty exchanges between the two institutions. 

“We are pleased to announce our new partnership with the Institute of Technology Tallaght,” said Marilyn Luscombe, President and CEO of ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½. “International partnerships such as this enrich the ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ experience and open new educational opportunities for our learners.”

This agreement will mean that ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ students have the opportunity to apply their college credits towards degrees in the areas of Business Accounting, Electronics, Mechanical or Energy Engineering Technology, Information Technology, and Tourism and Culinary Arts, at ITT Dublin. 

“Not only does this agreement provide ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ learners with opportunities to further their education, it will also offer them international experiences and important learnings about another culture,” said Luscombe. “These are the types of experiences which can help set them apart in their chosen fields throughout their careers.” 

ITT Dublin offers programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels in the areas of accounting, business, computing, engineering, humanities and science. The campus is located in Tallaght, South Dublin County, Ireland. The Institute is home to more than 5000 students from Ireland and around the world. 
                
With over 90 programs and six campuses across New Brunswick, New Brunswick Community College (ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½) is a provincially-recognized, public post-secondary institution reputed for producing skilled, knowledgeable graduates who are contributing to the Province’s socio-economic prosperity. ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ offers students one- and two-year certificate and diploma programs.
