NSCC and ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ forge Strategic Alliance

FREDERICTON – Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC) and New Brunswick Community College (ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½) have forged a Strategic Alliance to bring the two institutions together in the promotion and delivery of industry training related to Correctional Service Canada (CORCAN), First Nations, energy and other pan-regional opportunities.

"The Strategic Alliance ensures that students at both NSCC and ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ are equipped and ready to take advantage of growing opportunities in these key areas,” says NSCC President Don Bureaux. “By pooling our knowledge and resources in this way, we’re equipping our grads with the skills they’ll need to find meaningful work and help grow our economy.”

NSCC and ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ will now look to bring the two institutions together to promote collaboration amongst their students and staff in the development of programming and related initiatives as well as to secure new opportunities of mutual benefit.

"This agreement represents a wonderful opportunity for both Colleges,” says President and CEO Marilyn Luscombe. “By bringing together our students and faculty, we’re working to accelerate the growth of our region and align our educational programs with the needs of the future workforce.”

The Strategic Alliance—a memorandum of understanding—was signed on November 21 and will remain in place for a period of one year with the possibility of a renewal.
